  Restaurant attached the to Spices Cloverly Estate. You drive into this quasi-Victorian style gardens and overlook the undulating hills of Montville. The setting is a cottage with French doors with a grassy area for croquet. Very impressive decor but not over the top.
  
  Menu is a 2, 3 or 5 course affair; otherwise an 8 course degustation with optional wine pairings. Some wonderful flavours there. Duck bolognese entre looked promising but was gritty and even a little bitter as the cabbage wasn't fresh. Highlight was the Morton Bay bugs entre with apricot and cured ham. Amazing.
  
  Mains had were suckling pig which was the most tender thing ever, and then the dry aged beef which was spectacular.
  
  Service was flawless. Friendly and non intrusive.

  We have been to The Long Apron twice and had the tasting menu both times. To call this a meal seems almost like an understatement, it is such an incredible experience. The chef has managed to structure the courses perfectly, you are taken on a journey through different landscapes of flavour, each completely unique and wonderfully balanced. It features much locally sourced produce, all so fresh and beautifully presented. The wines featured are incredible, and I found myself with the ultimate food/wine high about two courses in, this lasted right until the end. It is also the perfect amount of food, and you leave feeling satisfied but not stuffed, the latter being a pitfall many tasting menus fall into. I can't recommend this highly enough, will back and bringing more friends.

  Once again the most amazing special experience at Long Apron. Have been a few times and they always make you feel special. This time it was for my/our Anniversary. Last time was for my 60th (Yuks!) They had a wedding party coming in and setting up a margue that day so rang to let us know it may be noisey so we went the day before Food was delicious, service "Pippa" fantastic. We will return.
